Save the Bees! · 1 May 2020

Bumblebees are in decline because of a loss of their habitats. Our landscape is changing, over 97% of the UK's grasslands have been lost in the past 70 years. We work to put much needed flowers back into the countryside to benefit our bumblebees and other wildlife.

Bud & Bee is a British florist/grower based in Suffolk, UK who is committed to saving the bees by planting pollinator approved flowers and foliage, as well as using them in bouquets and arrangements. Bud & Bee doesn't support the use of unnatural herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers. With 97% of Britains widflower meadows being lost since WWII, it is vita that these are returned and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust has pledged to do just that.

Here are their main aims:

1 Enhance the understanding of bumblebee ecology and conservation.

2 Increase the quality and quantity of bumblebee habitat.

3 Inspire and enable a diverse range of people to take action for bumblebees.

4 Be an effective and sustainable organisation.

It is a great charity to be fundraising for and one that can affect our future - with 2 bumblebee species already known to be extinct this fuzzy flying insect that we see darting among the flowers have an important role to play in maintaining our planet.
