Story

On the 26th and 27th June 2015, 30 men and women from Ilkeston Rugby Club will be doing a Coast to Coast Bike ride from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. This will be in memory of two very well known members of Ilkeston Rugby club.

Kit Taylor died in november 2014 at 45, he was a very fit man, and loved his cycling. Being chairman of the Junior section at the club, he was truly devoted to it. He would go to any length to make the club a fun, and successful place for the junior rugby players. Kit will be missed at the club, and the club will struggle to fill the role of such an inspirational character.

Gareth sadly passed away in july 2010, less than a month before his 21st birthday. He had so much of his life left to live and so much to live for! Anybody that knew Gareth will back me up in saying what an amazing lad he was, full of fun and smiles and so kind to everyone he knew. Gareth was also a very keen and talented rugby player, and when playing really showed how proud he was to be playing for Ilkeston.

Please help us to raise money for such a good cause, and in memory of two sadly missed members of our club. Your donations would be gratefully received.
