We wanted to do something really huge and exciting that would involve the whole community raising money for a great cause. Sadly, my old head teacher got seriously ill and we told him we would do this for him too.

We chose the Teenage Cancer Trust as he works with students all day, every day.

Teenage Cancer Trust is the UK's only charity with the single aim of helping teenagers with cancer.

They have specialist units within NHS hospitals for teenagers with cancer as they believe teenagers with have better spirits if surrounded by their peers.

In past years teenagers would be put into units with either very young children or adults and the charity didn't think this was fair as teenagers are happier when socialising and with friends. It's a charity that affects our peers, our listeners and our friends and that's why we want to help them and we hope you will too!
