As-Salamu'Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi, Wa-Barakatuhu.

The 'Friends of Cann Hall' campaign was launched in Ramadhan 2012 with the intention to raise £165,000, required to complete the outstanding works by next Ramadhan 2013.

We are inviting 165 people to commit to a donation of £1000 each. The amount of £1000 can be paid as a single instalment, 12 monthly instalments of £83 per month or £250 every 3 months. If you are a UK taxpayer remember to select the Gift Aid option and make your donation go further and help us reach our target of £165,000.

We have adopted a phased approach for the delivery of this project and have completed the first two phases.

Phase 1: Implemented plans for a 2 bed self-contained flat on the 2nd floor. Intended to generate funds to maintain the running costs of the Masjid until such time the space requirements of the Masjid supersedes the reliance on this source of income.
(This phase has been completed by a private investor and no public funds will go towards the upkeep of the premises.)

Phase 2: Full refurbishment of classrooms, meeting rooms, kichenette and toilets on the 1st floor. Intended use of the area is to accommodate educational facilities, community use and meeting rooms. Currently facilitates mix-use including a temporary prayer area for women until completion of Phase 5.

Phase 3: Structural work required to reinforce the flooring of the first floor hall, to be renovated with a neutral finish with access to wudu / bathroom facilities – Estimated Costs: £45,000

Phase 4: Formation of the Main Hall of the Masjid on the ground floor. Works include a complete refurbishment of the area to create the open space for daily Salah with allocated lobby via the main entrance with wheelchair access together with wudu / toilet facilities – Estimated Costs: £65,000

Phase 5: Dedicated area on the ground floor for women and children for religious and social gatherings. To be fully refurbished with allocated entrance and wudu/toilet facilities, children friendly area with push chair access and baby changing facilities – Estimated Costs: £55,000
