My dear sister Eilagh passed away on the 15th March 2018 at 10.45am in the RVH after many long years of both obvious and hidden addiction. She was only 41.
As a family we are devastated. We are drenched in sadness and disbelief. Now, I want to do something positive. In her memory.
I want to fundraise for Addiction NI who provide tailor-made treatment programmes and support for people who are dependent on drugs or alcohol. Eilagh did use their services but she was too far down this awful path to come back to the person she was. The charity relies on volunteering and fundraising to provide this invaluable service, so it seemed fitting that I chose this charity to fundraise for.
In turn, I want to walk the Canal Walk in Coalisland on Saturday 9th March 2019 with as many people as possible by my side.
Come together to remember Eilagh x
