Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This October I will hopefully piloting a Yellow Triumph Spitfire around Britain, my co-pilot will be Mr Billy Craythorne. For over 48 hours our home will be the cramped cockpit of a 1974 Triumph Spitfire. Powered by the original 1300 engine, no modern driving aids, just some modern halogen bulbs and a satnav.

We will set off on October the 5th from north of London at around 6pm heading north for John o'Groats and breakfast on Saturday. Saturday will see us driving through the Scottish Highlands. Saturday evening and nights will see us driving South in to England then wales for breakfast at Lands end on Sunday Morning. Sunday morning will see us heading East across England back to the start for dinner. Monday and Tuesday I'll be sleeping.

This is no easy undertaking we have both done this once before and it really does test your resolve.

The car will hopefully be a 1974 Triumph Spitfire a two seat British sports/roadster, before the Japanese started making the MX5. No fuel injection or electronic ignition. The car at present is still on axle stands in my garage and a race is on to finish her and have her MOT. What time i have left will be spend improving and checking.

The cost of the fuel  (around £300) is born by Billy and I so all your money goes to Epilepsy research.

I hope to complete the two days and the sponsorship really helps us keep going, the only thing which will stop us is a catastrophic breakdown.
