Story

So many kittens have come  to our branch. this season and each one comes with its own sad story. They cost around £250 each to have all the necessary vet checks, vaccinations, worming, flea treatments and vital health checks and these are the lucky ones that require no further treatment.

Then there are the really awful stories. We have a mum, named Vienna, far too young to give birth. She had 5 kittens, but sadly two died - one was stillborn and one died on the way to us, at just a couple of hours old.  Her remaining babies were named Rigsby, Alan and Miss Jones. Miss Jones only survived two days and we then sadly had to make the heartbreaking decision to have Rigsby and Alan put to sleep at just 3 weeks old as they had terrible leg deformities and life-threatening flat chests. Then we had Mary and Midge, who were orphans who came to us at a day old and sadly lost their battle with heart issues and pneumonia only a week apart, at just 3 and 4 weeks old, having been hand reared and cared for 24/7 by one of our fosterers.  Not only are these instances heart-breaking, they are also very costly.  Mungo, their cheeky, sweet brother, remains in our care, along with so many other kittens who require constant nurturing.

We are all volunteers, working tirelessly and often around the clock to care for the cats and kittens that come to us. Every individual matters and is given the highest standard of care to ensure it has the best chance of a good life in a loving, forever home.

We receive no government funding and rely heavily on the kindness of the public to help us. We would be so grateful if you could spare just a couple of pounds, or whatever you can, no amount is too large or small and every penny goes towards helping local cats and kittens in our care.

If you can just donate the price of a cup of coffee, £2.50 - we can feed a kitten for a day
£5 - worming treatment
£10 - worming and flea treatment
£15 - microchip
£25 - veterinary health check
£50 - full vaccination
£50 - neutering

These costs do not take into account litter, laundry, cat care, and any other veterinary treatment required! And EVERY PENNY you donate goes straight to caring for the little ones in our care

Thank you, your support is invaluable to these little ones xx
