I've finally got a chance to run London Marathon!

Having tried via the ballot to get a place in the London Marathon for a number of years I have always been unsuccessful! However this year I am the lucky member of Styal running club who gets the club place to run the 2017 London Marathon.

I am running for the Percy Hedley Foundation which is the largest North East disability charity, helping more than 1000 disabled children, young people, adults and their families every year.

Every penny raised is spent on improving the lives of children, young people and adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

At Percy Hedley:

•  £5 will buy some paint for the budding artist 
• £10 will buy a giant calculator for the maths student 
• £20.00 will fund a field trip for a college student 
• £50.00 could help someone recovering from a stroke to learn to be independent again. 

The possibilities are endless.
