I like to do things a little bit out of the ordinary. I have walked down the aisle of my local church dressed as a banana!! But a wing walk was on my bucket list. And it felt like fate played a hand in helping me to achieve a dream and help to make dreams come true for others when I saw the advertisement in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph calling for volunteers!

It took a bit of persuasion with my family and my GP but I rang Wish Upon A Star, sent in my application and the journey started.

I have been incredibly lucky to have already achieved a tremendous amount of support from my family, friends and local community and now the net is being cast wider.

The charity does amazing things for children and their families at a time when things can seem quite bleak.

So if you can spare a pound or two for this event I would be incredibly grateful.
