Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Wobbleberry Challenge is for middle aged wimpy riders to compete at a BE80 event (dressage, show jumping and cross country ) ,  to raise money for the Willberry Wonder pony, inspired by Hannah Francis.

As a Wobbleberry I have the following Key Characteristics:

- not currently fit enough to get round a cross country course

- not currently brave enough to get round a cross country course

- old enough to know better, and know that this will hurt!

- dedicated - to raising money, to training, and conquering the fear

- supportive of each other - aiming to be weeble-esque, "we wobble, but we don't fall down".

For me it is going to be a huge challenge  and  it will be an experience of a life time.

I  joined  the challenge last year riding my daughters pony,  Mr Darcy and  our training and competing went very well but I felt the goal of jumping lots of jumps at 80cm was too much to ask of a pony of his size and age.  Mr Darcy is now happily jumping smaller fences and I have a new equine partner, Dylan, who is going to find the height of 80cm easy (I am the one who has the problem with 80cm but i am working hard to get more confident and comfortable with jumping bigger fences).

Please support us, supporting Hannah's legacy and help us in our mission of Kickingcancersbutt.

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
