Story

10 years ago this month I lost my lovely Dad.  After suffering a massive stroke he was left half paralysed, severely disabled, unable to speak and a multitude of medical issues.  He needed 24/7 hour care which my Mum gave to him.  No organisations were able to do anything to help him - except for Headway Oxfordshire where he would go one morning a week to their centre where he was able to participate in various activities to get him out of the house, stimulate his brain, have social activity with other brain injured people, and also to give my mum that much needed respite for a morning a week. We would have been lost without the Headway Oxford centre and will be ever grateful for the services that they provided to him.  I am therefore raising money for their much needed services to those who may also be unfortunate suffer from severe head injuries.  I will be running in memory of my Dad who died 10 years ago on 1st October.
