We care for big cats and fund conservation to protect them from worldwide extinction

Story

As you may or may not know, I have been fundraising to support Big Cat conservation for about 7 years now and through various projects and the generosity of people like you, I have raised approximately £1000.  But my fundraising journey is far from over and I will keep doing everything I can to save these beautiful animals from disappearing altogether.

In my previous fundraising, I told you that tigers could go extinct within the next decade; however, there is now a real threat that by 2050, we could face a world without lions too.  We can’t ignore this.

My passion for big cats began when I watched Disney’s The Lion King when I was 3 years old.  It deeply saddens me that by the time I’m 46, watching these majestic beasts on a TV screen may be the only way I’ll get to enjoy them.

I am hoping to reach wildlife supporters far and wide this time to raise as much money as I can to fund projects such as Drive4Wildlife
and all of the fantastic conservation work that Giles Clark and the team do at The Big Cat Sanctuary (WHF).  Together, we CAN make a difference.

You may be aware of the rock painting craze that started in summer
2018 and has really taken off, with families finding rocks, taking a photo and posting it on the relevant facebook page and then re-hiding.  My mum and I enjoy painting  the rocks for others to find just for the fun
of it and posting it on the LGC Rocks UK page, but I thought, why not try and do some good through it, so . . . . .

We have painted lots of lion-related rocks that give a link to this just giving fundraising page.  The aim is that for everyone who finds a rock, they donate just £2 (or more) and then hide the rock in a different place for someone else to find.  I’m hoping that people won’t just ignore it or keep the rocks for themselves but instead, they’ll help me raise a massive amount of money for WHF.  How amazing would it be to say you’ve been part of something so special?!  Tell your friends, your neighbours, family, work colleagues . . . .  anyone you can think of and let’s spread the word about this.  Of course, you don't have to be a rock hunter to get involved, you can simply pledge just £2 and tell everyone about this page!

Please . . . . help me protect the big cats, their survival is in OUR hands.  We CAN stop this CATastrophe from happening.

The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent is working to help save some of the most endangered cats in the World from extinction, housing over 50 - from the largest, the Amur Tiger to the most endangered, the Amur Leopard. We are part of coordinated international breeding programmes to help maintain a healthy captive population, in the hope that ultimately they will be released into their natural habitat to mix with their counterparts in the wild. To keep our site quite and tranquil we offer personal big cat experiences by appointment only.
