Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So I am back once again asking for more of your hard earned money for charity - so you may ask what for this time? Well given 2012 will be such a significant year in the history of London following the re-election of Mayor Boris Johnson - ok ok im kidding - it's the Olympics ofcourse and it is about to take over London in just over one weeks time! So how could I miss out on such an opportunity to take part in my own Olympic event! The event or events to be fair will be three in all.

Event No 1. in glorious and glamourous Bolton - the challange Ironman 2012

2.4 mile swim - 112 mile bike - 26.2 mile run

More commonly known as the Mad Man sorry I mean Ironman UK.

So I managed to complete this one, just - after a shakey start! Now onto the next.....

Event no 2.

M2M Malin Head to Mitzen Head - also known as Ireland End to End!

345miles/ 555km 10 days averaging 32 miles per day.

It was a tough one but nailed it so now its onto the final event....

Event No3.

Dublin Marathon - sub 3 hour!

3hr 2mins 45 secs! I missed the sub 3 hours this year but helping a fellow runner and a finishing photo that got 30k hits on facebook - the sacrfice was definitely worth it!

That'll do for this year.

All three events all in will straddle the Olympics and take me up to the end of October - either way hopefully you will feel I have sufficiently
earned your sponsorship!

So why the Good Life Orphanage? My sister in law Debbie (pictured with her daughter Dhara) tragically passed away on the birth of her third child Dhylan at the very tender age of 30. Debbie, had three children in all Jade being the eldest. Debbie's partner my brother has since then fought to give their children a  future and find normality in tragedy and with the help of the extended family helped guide them through their darkest hour. This support is not available to all children especially in poverty stricken countries like Kenya and given this is where Debbie's father was from, I felt this could not be a more fitting location for the charity.

I therefore thought the Good Life Orphanage was an inspiring organisation that could benefit orphaned children from your donations. Since it opened in April 2008 over 50 children have discovered the security of having a place where they call home. Please take time to read through their website and you will see everypenny you donate will go directly to keeping children happy and healthy - no administration, travel or accommodation fees. 100% charity - your donations will make a real difference to these children's lives so please dig deep!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
