Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Childhood acquired brain injury doesn't just affect the child who has acquired the injury, but parents, siblings and extended family members.

One in 30 children will have acquired some kind of brain injury by the age of 17, yet the difficulties and issues faced are often ignored or misunderstood and many families do not receive the support they need.

Children often have problems with fatigue, memory loss, concentration, impulse control, mobility, speech, vision and changes to personality.

With your support, child and family support coordinators can help children and their families and offer that lifeline that is needed.

Support ranges from: practical and emotional support, family events, hospital visits, school training sessions, home visits, small grants programme, information booklets and much much more.

To make sure that this support continues, I will be taking part in the London to Windsor Cycle Ride with Moore Blatch on Sunday the 3rd September where I will be cycling either 29 miles, 37 miles or 55 miles...energy permitting and as long as my legs survive!
