Story
As our beautiful summer turns to crisp fresh mornings our minds also turn to the planning of Christmas and all the wonderful things associated with that magical time of year.
This year we are asking for help to spread that Christmas spirit to the Children in Ukraine and make a child smile with our gift appeal.
There is so much we can do together to give children affected by the nuclear disaster of Chernobyl and poverty in the villages of Ukraine. We work with families in the Borodyanka Region, and are now in partnership with The Source of Hope Centre for Disabled Children, set up by our Ashford link 7 years ago, and more recently the Orphanage in the town of Korosten.
A Donation of £10 will give a gift to the children in the villages and the Orphanage a shoe gift box filled with treats and delights.
A Donation of £25 will buy new winter boots for a child ready for the cold winter
A Donation of £50 will buy a winter coat and a small gift.
A Donation of £100 will buy a bike for a child and a memory making day out for the whole family.
A Donation of £300 will pay for a Christmas Party for the Children at our Source of Hope Centre for Disabled Children in Korosten, with food, games and a small gift for every child.
If you would like to sponsor an individual child this Christmas and buy them a gift they would like, please contact us and we can help you buy a gift for a child to suit your donation.
There are so many ways you can extend the love, warmth and excitement of Christmas and bring a smile to the faces of the Children of Chernobyl.
NB. We are travelling out 13th December and will be buying and delivering the gifts ourselves as well as the parties if they can be arranged. We can assure you that your donation will go directly to the children.
