People & Parks is Soft Power Education's integrated conservation and development programme, operating in the environmentally fragile Buliisa District in western Uganda.

The district borders Murchison Falls Conservation Area, Uganda's largest protected area, where the rapidly increasing population relies heavily on natural resources such as fish, timber and pasture.

People & Parks' local and experienced staff implement a holistic community conservation approach which incorporates local indigenous knowledge and offers an empowering alterntive to traditional 'top down' approaches.

We offer grants to kick start sustainable and environmentrally friendly community livelihood projects.
