Macmillan Cancer Support

We give you the support you need to live life as fully as you can

Charity Registration No. 261017

A Celebration of Christmas 2018, Oxford’s leading celebrity carol concert in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support will take place on Friday 7th December at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.

We hope you can join us on the 7th; as one of our supporters says, "there's noting like singing carols at the top of your voice with a room full of people to envelop you in that warm, Christmassy excitement".

A Celebration of Christmas is run entirely by volunteers to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in Oxfordshire and we are proud to have raised over £500,000 in the last 22 years.  However, we need to continue to work hard to maintain our donations.

If you can’t attend and still want to support us, or even if you can attend and are able to support us even more, we are incredibly grateful that you have visited our page.

You can support this event by:

1.  Making a donation on this page

2.  Buying tickets to attend the event:

3.  Becoming a sponsor - call 07792 649195

This year we are hoping to increase our donation to Macmillan Cancer Support from £32,000 in 2017 to £35,000.  Most of our fundraising is through ticket sales, sponsorship and adverts.  But we have also given ourselves a JustGiving target of £3,000.

£3,000 would fund a Macmillan Support Worker in Oxfordshire for nearly 6 weeks.  These vital posts co-ordinate care for cancer
patients, and ensure they feel in control of their own treatment.

Or £3,000 could pay to staff an Information and Support Centre at a hospital in Oxfordshire for 3 weeks, providing people affected by cancer with somewhere to go to ask questions and talk through their concerns with specialist staff and trained volunteers.

This extra donation will have a huge impact for people affected by cancer in Oxfordshire, and we really hope you are able to help us achieve our goal.
