Charlie's Running Europe's Toughest Mudder for Poole Hospital's NICU

Europe's Toughest Mudder · 13 June 2020
In November 2019, our daughter Arabella was born prematurely, as a result of this she was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a few days to help support her with her breathing and very low blood sugars.
I found that as a new Dad, I was overwhelmed by the support I was given by the staff, as nothing was ever too much trouble. The care Arabella received was exceptional and for this I am so very grateful as today she is a very happy and healthy baby.
In order to show my upmost appreciation for the care and support that we received as a family during what was a difficult and scary time, I have decided to run Europe's Toughest Mudder in order to raise money for more lifesaving equipment needed to care for more babies like Arabella.
Toughest Mudder is 12 full hours of extreme teamwork, stamina and mental grit testing action from 8pm Saturday to 8am Sunday. It will involve me attempting to complete as many 5 mile laps as I can, while trying to overcome more than 20 of the best obstacles thrown my way. With my head torch at the ready, I am attempting to achieve at least 30 or more miles during the 12 hours.
