Story

Charlie is 6 years old with Microtia and is raising money.
Our original aim was to raise £1000 within 1 year, however... we successfully hit that in just 5 weeks so our new target is £2000!

Charlie & I are raising money for Microtia UK as they'e the only UK based charity that helps and supports families who have Microtia.

The charity has helped Charlie and I a lot since finding them on Facebook a few years ago and we would like to help give something back. They have given me unlimited advice and provided me with a parents guide to Microtia which really helped me. They also provided me with merchandise for a fun run to help raise money, sold me wrist bands with their name on and elephant teddies with 1 big ear and 1 small ear for Charlie. They advised me on Charlie having a BAHA and even enabled Charlie to try one for the first time at age 5. They’ve supported me with advice on having a teacher of the deaf at school and on bullying. They enabled Charlie to attend events where key speakers were there, have pen pals and life long friends. We are here to raise awareness, support and show the world that it’s ok to be unique.

The charity itself is small and in need of sponsorship to help with the costs of developing research, enabling them to hold events, provide merchandise and hold mingles where other people like Charlie can meet up and not feel alone and they also do so much more.
