Fundraising for Revive MS Support
Story
My story? Here goes...
I've had some experiences with my health over the last few years that have taught me to not only look after myself but to push myself out of my comfort zones and never take the full use of my body and mind for granted. Last year I qualified on becoming a yoga teacher, this year I'm going to climb the highest mountain in Africa!
For everyone that knows me, you will probably also know my friend Julie. (yes, you may have seen our photos...) Julie has MS. I won't say she's fighting MS because to all of us on the outside looking in, she copes amazingly well with this sometimes invisible illness and to look at her, you'd never know. That's until she speeds past us on her scooter of course!
Julie has been attending Revive MS Support in Govan for over 2 years now where she has weekly sessions in the oxygen room as well as massages, physio & reflexology. On top of this, she receives fantastic support from all the staff as well as the many other patients who attend and would find themselves at a loss without it. It is for this reason that I thought I could collect some donations for my climb (and possibly hold some more fun events on the lead up to it) to give to this local and much needed support centre.
My trip & climb is 100% self-funded and each & every penny of donations will go directly to Revive. There are so many brilliant souls out there now doing amazing things for causes, each one as important as the last. From the marathon runners who didn't just run 26 miles, they trained for months beforehand, to the Tough Mudders & Kiltwalkers and the kiddies doing Parkruns & SantaDash - we wish we could give to them all! So for that very reason, I’d like to give a huge thanks in advance for anything at all you're able to donate to Revive and I'll be sure to keep you updated over the next few months. Remember, every penny goes to Revive.
