Story

Hi All, Chris here. Well I didn't plan this being carried on until 2021 however due to the Covid Pandemic, the London marathon was postponed until 3rd October 2021 so I still need your support and help please.

Why am I doing this? I decided that in 2020 I wanted to set myself a challenge that will help me and also help others so I thought, "Why not run the London Marathon" so here I am, although 18 months later than originally planned!!!.

I moved to South Wales in (2018) and it doesn't matter where in the UK we live we see people who are living on the streets, no where else to go, and let's be honest, this could happen to so many people we know and I want to try and help and I know that the Salvation Army, my own church, do so much nationally and locally. Locally Swansea Citadel hand out food parcels to those who are desperate , I personally have been out to emergency accommodation to provide food to a family who had nothing and we were able to help. Swansea also carry out the Soup run every Sunday as different churches do each day. We also have provided help to families with emergency accommodation and clothing and bedding as well as food. Nationally, The Salvation Army have Life Houses, nearest being Cardiff to me, which help those to get off the streets. There are so many people who need help. During covid pandemic more people unfortunately have found themselves needing the support of others and more people are in emergency accommodation or sadly on the streets.

Those who know me well, I'm no natural athlete so I am trying to lose weight and really having to push myself.  It's well over 10 years since I last did anything like this so when I said this was a challenge, it certainly is and after having covid myself in January, which has left me slightly more short of breath, I need YOU and so do the people I'm raising much needed money for.

So while I'm out there pounding the streets I need the support from friends who can sponsor me. You can support me in various ways.

1. You can make a pledge via my Justgiving website

2. You can message me and sponsor me by going to my email or text

(chris_sarahg2@yahoo.co.uk) or text me 07946 274707 or message me on Facebook.

3. If you want to  send me a donation and want my home address, just message me and I will send it privately (If you haven't already got it)

4. Why not save all you 5p's in a jar between now and end of September and whatever is in the jar, give that to my cause (Or more if you are able!)

Thanks for reading and your time, I will keep you posted on my progress and those who willing to, I need your prayers too!!

Thanks

Chris
