We originally wanted try to complete a genuinely difficult challenge to raise money for charities which had seen their funding reduced due to the pandemic, however recently the children's beloved great uncle, John Rodway, sadly passed away. John had a long battle with Kidney disease from an early age but was fortunate to have a successful transplant in 2000 which enabled him to live a fulfilling life for 21 years. This has given our challenge a personal reason to try to raise as much money as we can to help people like John and honour his memory. John was originally from the West country so we decided to try to walk as our family of seven 500km in 24 hours on the Cotswold Way as part of an 'Ultra Challenge'. Due to the huge difficulty of this challenge children have never been able to do the full distance before but our girls are nothing if not determined. We would love to raise as much as we can for our charities, primarily Kidney Research and Cancer Research, and give our massive thanks to anyone who can donate.
