Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I work for Youth for Christ and I love it. I don't just say that - it really is a special place to work. The staff and volunteers work on the ground with some of the most marginalised and at-risk young people around Northern Ireland and it is such a privilege for me to play a tiny part in that. The stories of transformation in young people and in communities are amazing, and a reminder that God is moving in our land. We seek to be obedient to that and to go in response to his leading.
We are growing, expanding from 6 centres in 2016 to our 9th centre launching in the new year, and we need supporters to get behind us so we can continue to reach young people in communities across NI.
The idea of giving up something for YFC came from the recognition that even a little change can make a big difference. Even a one-degree shift can make a big difference to the direction of travel over time.
Drinking just water isn't the most challenging thing you've ever seen, but if you can give up one coffee a week and donate the price of that coffee, or cut out one Chinese in January and donate that takeaway, or your Netflix subscription or anything then together we can all raise quite a lot of money and help us at YFC reach an unreached generation of young people with the Good News of Jesus.
I've tried to gather some people around me who can join in this challenge, between us all we can make an impact.
A small change can make a big difference.
