On 3 November I will be running my 5th marathon and my 1st in New York. I will have just passed a milestone birthday (yes I’m 40 again 😉) and I realise how lucky I am to have lived life. This is not the case for Oscar Maclean who tragically lost his life at a very young age

Oscar who was born and lived in Jersey lost his courageous fight to a rare and aggressive form of brain tumour at the age of 9. The Oscar Maclean Foundation was set up in his memory and aims to to provide additional support to local children suffering from cancer and other chronic illnesses, as well as their families. 

I will be running the New York Marathon to raise funds for the important work this charity undertakes and I hope you can help by sponsoring me. I am paying all of my costs for taking part in the marathon so all monies raised will go to the Foundation
