Story

Chris’s Spin – Sunday 6 May 2012

Family, friends and colleagues are organising a seventh annual sponsored cycle ride in aid of the Prostate Cancer Charity and in memory of Chris Martindale. Over forty riders have taken part in each of the rides over the past six years, raising over £15,000 for the charity. We are suggesting a minimum sponsorship for each rider of £25 for adults and £10 for under-18s, with a small fee of £5 payable on the day to cover refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Chris was a keen cyclist and completed ‘Coast to Coast’ and ‘End to End’ tours of Britain. We are aiming for riders to complete one of two slightly less ambitious circular routes of 16 or 52 miles around quiet roads in the Peak District, with a lunch stop at Foolow, on Sunday 6 May 2012.
