Story

The London Community Foundation (LCF) is enormously grateful to all those who have reached out with donations of support in the aftermath of the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower. London’s spirit of generosity and solidarity has shone through when local people need it most. Total donations have soared to £2.5 million, with Londoners and firms based in the capital contributing generously to the appeal. In the immediate term, LCF is working with local community centres and the council to coordinate relief efforts and establish where funds are most needed. In the coming days, weeks and months, we will also be using funds raised to support residents to rebuild their lives following this tragedy.

About the charity

We make a difference to the lives of Londoners by connecting people who need help with those who are willing to give. Last year alone, through £5.5 million of funding we made over 940 grants touching the lives of an estimated 310,000 Londoners.
