Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Team CJD's Just Giving page. Team CJD are Daniel Greene, Kevin Greene, Andy Tomaso, Elisa Tomaso, Alex Wilikinson and Karen Wilkinson.

CJD is a degenerative neurological disease that has no cure and is sadly fatal in every case. Andy's mother Carmelina passed away from the disease in 2007 and sadly her beloved older brother, Andy's Uncle Gianni, passed away from the same illness in 2011. Andy is now the Treasurer of the CJD Support Network and, together with friends from Southgate Squash Club, has formed Team CJD to run the Virgin London 10k to raise much needed funds.

The CJD Support Network is a charity specifically set up to offer emotional and practical support to families and individuals who are affected by this rare and devastating illness.

Any money donated, however small, will help ensure the CJDSN, who rely solely on fundraising to survive, can continue to offer the help so desperately required when individuals and families suddenly face the trauma of dealing with CJD.

Thank you for your support.
