Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am fundraising for St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley; a local charity with big ambition. St Catherine’s vision is for a world where everyone facing death and bereavement can do so informed, supported and pain free. Their team of experts are there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when they need support the most, and they rely on donations to be able to offer their pioneering care. Please donate today and help St Catherine’s be there for people when life comes full circle.
With all races being cancelled I decided I'd do it virtually as I'd decided that I was going to race and raise money for St Catherine's hospice this year.
I will be doing 100km on the turbo trainer which is 60 miles. Usually you'd race 56 miles and have swum 1.2 miles so I've added a few extra miles. I'm then going to walk/jog the 13.1 miles maintaining social distancing around Crawley. I've not been able to run train due to injury but I'll get it done.
I've openly admitted that I've struggled with isolation and this will give me focus to crank on with training, that I find helps me to cope mentally. I had stopped the other week, but managed to get back on it.
