We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2016, swimming the distance of the Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire. Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. I am also doing it as a thank you to the staff at the Royal Berks Hospital who many years ago got my Daddy well enough so he could swim again, and the teams at Lindon Hill and the Wantage Recreation Centre who got him swimming.

This is a big challenge, but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, so please be generous!

I am planning to do as much as possible of my swim at Parliament Hill Lido, the glorious silver lined unheated 60mx27m open air pool on Hampstead Heath.
