When wandering through Easton one night last term I was struck by the vast number of women sex working at each street corner. I decided that night that I should do something for the hundreds of women on my doorstep who are vulnerable to prostitution and in desperate need of support.

One25 is a fantastic local charity that reaches out to women trapped in street sex work and helps them to break free from violence, poverty and addiction. 

Last year they managed to support 39 women in Bristol to leave street sex work for good, but without our help One25 can't continue to protect many more vulnerable women across the South West.

The charity runs afternoon drop ins, clothes swaps, hot meals, health checks, counselling, addiction support, housing and job advice, skills training, a night patrol van offering safety, blankets and hot food - the list is endless... 

Though this could prove an embarrassing attempt at the Bath Half marathon, hopefully it'll be a helping hand for the charity and the work they plan to carry out in 2014.

I am not known for my sporting prowess and the training is already proving a struggle, so I really hope you might be able to support me on my way to help this incredibly worthwhile cause...
