My husband and a small team are aiming to raise a minimum of £250 for Ataxia UK which is a national charity trying to fund research into a debilitating and life changing condition. Their plan is to complete the Everest Base Camp trek up to 5545 metres in less than 14 days. This is a massive challenge and normally takes at least 16 and often 18 days. They will have less time to acclimatise to the altitude and slightly more walking per day.
