Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our teams fundraising page.

Clumber park is a very special place, one of just a handful of Grade 1 Registered parks in the country. It is enjoyed by a wide variety of visitors and is one of the National Trust most visited properties.

We're looking after this special place forever, for everyone and conservation is key. Carved from Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park is an important example of a designed landscape. We are currently embarking on a 10 year investment plan, Clumber park Revitalised. Over the many years many of its grandest Features and views have been lost. Our aim is to enrich and restore the landscape of Clumber park, protect precious wildlife habitats and encourage our visitors to explore and connect to their natural surroundings. Our vision is to reveal a Clumber Park where magical stories bring the past to life, for future generations to enjoy.

14 intrepid members of the Clumber Park team, From various departments including rangers, gardens, retail and member & visitor welcome will be taking part in the 15km Rough Runner on 15th June. Rough Runner is an assault course, designed using obstacles from game shows such as Takeshi's Castle, Total Wipe Out and Gladiators. The team will race together showing the teamwork and determination that they use to run Clumber Park.

The money raised will all go towards the ongoing conservation work as part of the Clumber Park Revitalised project.

Thank you,

Lewis, Charis, Mathew, Jago, Karen, Murray, Alex, Dene, Trefor, Alister, Catherine, Zoe, Graeme, David
