Story

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to make you aware of my participation in “Niamh’s next Step” charitable campaign. To try to help raise money for treatment that Niamh Curry so desperately needs, I have decided to create the ultimate cycling challenge for myself; I will be cycling from Scotland to Tring in just 48 hours! A crazy challenge I agree, but with two months of training and enough coffee I will make this possbile! Listed below are the towns I will be cycling through:

Dumfries, Carlisle, Penrith, Kendal, Lancaster, Preston, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Warwick, Bicester, Aylesbury & finally finishing at Tring, home of The Espresso Lounge.

When I first heard of Niamh's condition, I was heartbroken and had to get involved, networking both socially and professionally to raise as much awareness as possible. After all, how could I sit back and ignore such a story when there was a chance I could do something to help?

To highlight the difficulties that children like Niamh suffer, I decided to put myself to a challenge that would hopefully illustrate how life is for Niamh; a battle every minute of the day, a light at the end of the tunnel challenged by many obstacles and the only way through is to "fight". So here I am, cycling everyday, training through the cold & wet conditions in Buckinghamshire, finding the time whilst running my business 7 days a week! But it is worth every ounce of energy, whatever it takes to get Niamh this treatment.

We have already had a great deal of support from local people genreously offering their time and donating their money. It goes without saying that any local businesses that show their support will of course have their names mentioned at every media opportunity.

We will not only be collecting donations in our coffee shop “The Espresso Lounge” on Tring High Street, but we are also donating a proportion of all tips received to the fund between January and April.

You will soon be able to donate via our website http://www.theespressolounge.co.uk
