Story

Last year with the help of volunteers we rescued a very special cow, her name is Fiona.

Fiona was 16 and had been used as a breeding machine for her entire life. She had a baby stolen from her year after year and she had given up hope of ever living a happy life.

Luckily she was rescued and a few months later a baby was born. We called her Myrna. Fiona had no maternal instincts other than to feed Myrna due to 'cancellation of hope' Luckily during Fionas pregnancy our jersey cow Princess bonded herself with the expectant mother. Princess stayed with Fiona during the birth and they havent been separated since. Princess gave Myrna the love that Fiona was struggling to do.

Myrna is now 6 months old and the family has recently been joined by 3 more cows.

Betty is an Aberdeen Angus and is nearly a year old. She was rescued from slaughter by a supporter of ours.

Baby and Angel are now 7 weeks old and are also Aberdeen Angus cows. They came to us from a market where they were saved from slaughter. They were treated as a product and numbers had been glued to their backs. When they came to us they were terrified from the horrors they had been though in their young lives.

Our aim is to create a lovely piece of paradise for them in one of our paddocks. We want them to have the security they have never been able to have before. We hope to build them a lovely new shelter where they can live out the rest of their lives in peace and harmony.

Please help us to help them and donate what you can. Thank you for your continued support of our sanctuary.
