Event: WOMEN V CANCER CYCLE KENYA - Cycle Kenya Group 1, on 29 October 2011

Story

Updated on Aug 7th 2010 at 7:52 AM using the JustGiving iPhone app

Static cycle today at Etwall Leisure centre open day. support most appreciated!

Erm I seem to be have signed up for another charity event! This one is a biggy 400 km through Kenya.....eeek!!!

I am so excited but very nervous. I will give it my all for those who need it!!!

So many people I know have been affected by cancer. My mum died of cancer although not a womans cancer. What worries me so much is people my age and younger are getting cancer of the breast but happily living through it. But sadly some don't and children are left without mothers, like myself.

It's a terrible place to be in. I have never recovered and want to help halt the process of cancer affecting women.

This charity event is not just about breast cancer, but cervical and ovarian. Things which thankfully haven't touched my life yet. I don't want it to either, ever. Therefore, I want to be able to use my (mostly) able body to change things.
