In November 2019 at the age of 65. I will be getting on my bike to take positive action to raise funds for a wonderful Merseyside Charity run by a good friend of mine Robin Baynes MBE called Liverpool Heartbeat. I will be part of an amazing group of men and women who will cycle through rural Rajasthan, India, a region rich in desert landscapes, fantastic wildlife, exquisite forts and bustling cities. The route begins in Agra, home to the wonderful Taj Mahal ending in the pink city of Jaipur.

It's a trip of over 1000 kms in just 10 days, both on and off road, which is a huge challenge for us cyclist.

As well as our on going training, which is tough but very worthwhile, I need to raise a minimum of £3400 for my nominated charity and I am asking family, friends and my social media friends to help me reach my target.

I will be setting up a Facebook page and I will post photographs of my training and the adventure as it unfolds.
