Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am here with my fundraising cap in hand, asking for your support to help me raise much needed cash for Mind. The Mind charity help to provide support and raise awareness towards mental health. We all face our inner demons at some stage of life and as many as 1 in 4 suffer from some form of mental illness. Unlike many other illnesses those of the Mind cannot be seen and are often misunderstood or attached to a stigma.

The team at Mind are doing great work to help address many of these issues and give thousands of people the support they deserve but this is only possible with your generosity.

To help support this great cause I am going to put my physical and mental strength to the test by challenging myself to run 2 different Marathons.

  • 1st Challenge is the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon 26.2 miles along the coastal path from Portsmouth Seafront to Hayling Island and back. Run on the 23rd of December, I am sure weather conditions and running sections on the beach will truly test me.
  • 2nd Challenge is the Virgin London Marathon 26.2 miles which needs no introduction as one of the worlds most iconic races. I have a ballot entry for the race on the 28th April and will use this opportunity to push my body & mind to new limits.

As if this wasn't challenging enough I am prepared to run the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon in fancy dress but only if you do your part and pledge some cash before the event............the small print....

  • £750 raised before 16th December 2018 and I will run in a festive outfit (Santa / Elf / snowman / reindeer etc) you get the idea.

Thank you for your support & I promise not to get the begging bowl out again for a little while.
