After a failed attempt in July we had better weather this weekend and Lucy and I had a tremendous (if not terrifying) adventure on Dibona Needle in the French Alps.
Lucy, who starts at Stanford in 2 weeks, and I did this climb with the hope of raising money for the Uganda Charity Trust Fund which is all about helping children in Kampala and Mbale, Uganda through education and sport. (When there are needy kids involved, there is less option of chickening out half way through the climb!) UCTF currently has 140 children enrolled in the school programs and the summer sports camps are delivered to over 450 kids. Please visit the website (www.uctf.org) to learn more.
Please help these kids with your support; no donation is too small!
(US tax payers can make tax deductible donations via the Charities Aid Foundation website https://npo1.networkforgood.org/Donate/Donate.aspx?npoSubscriptionId=2441 . In the box where it says "Suggest a foreign nonprofit", pleasse type Uganda Charity Trust Fund.
Many thanks, Dan and Lucy
