Story
For 3 years now, my wife and I have been on our infertility journey and I have recently been diagnosed with azoospermia and Sertoli Cell-only Syndrome.
My infertility has been very difficult to come to terms with and was initially a very lonely, scary and incredibly emotional part of our lives.
Following my initial diagnosis of azoospermia, my wife found the men's support group on Fertility Network UK's website, and I have been attending, virtually, now for over a year. I have heard many stories from other men in various stages of their journeys and diagnoses and what I have heard from these men in the past year, and how the group has enabled me to discuss and communicate my journey with like minded people, has been invaluable.
Having that safe space to relate to other men who are going through similar experiences has helped me enormously and I have learnt a lot about them and the impact of male infertility. It is something that not many men talk about, yet has a huge life changing impact on those affected.
I am embarking on this trek to help spread awareness of the charity and to get men talking and sharing their infertility challenges to help them through it, as I feel I have been helped. Together, can get through our journeys and conquer those mountains we face along the way.
Many thanks for visiting my page, all the best.
