Two members of the Danshell team are giving up their time this Christmas to help those in need and you can support them by helping them hit their fundraising goal!

Resh Hirani, Internal Audit Director, and Stefan Cadogan, Resourcing Manager, will be volunteering on Christmas Day and Boxing Day for Crisis at Christmas, an initiative set up by charity Crisis, who work with homeless people to help them rebuild their lives.

Crisis at Christmas is an amazing volunteer effort that provides immediate help for homeless people at what can be the most difficult time of the year. There will be volunteers of all kinds to provide a holistic experience – cooks, hairdressers, entertainers, health professionals, and more!

Resh and Stefan will be volunteering as a driver and navigator respectively, working together to take guests to day and residential centres, as well as making sure that vital services are delivered across Crisis centres in London. Resh, who is normally sunning herself on a beach on Christmas Day, is so passionate about the massive change to her festive period, saying, “I used not having time as an excuse and thought that donating was enough. However, this year I have decided to roll my sleeves up and get directly involved with Crisis at Christmas, which is an amazing project which has been running for over 40 years. I guess I won’t solve the homelessness situation but I hope to come away with a good feeling of having helped first hand and, starting small, my little contribution will be valued.”

This JustGiving page has been set up to help out the people supported by Crisis even more through hopefully hitting the target raised of £5,000. And what’s even better is that the Danshell Board have agreed to match the total raised, up to £5,000! So if we raise £5,000, they will double it to £10,000 – This would go an incredibly long way to helping out those in need.
