Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page and reading my story.
In October 2016 I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. On the day of my surgery I was hit with the bombshell that a second '9cm' tumour had been discovered on my left kidney. By November 2016 I had been diagnosed with Cancer, twice. I lost the infected kidney and was in remission until November 2018 when I started getting a back ache. In Feb 2019 we discovered a tumour on my spinal cord. I underwent heavy radiotherapy and by March 2019 I thought I was on the mend. In April I was devastated to learn that my cancer had spread again and this time it was in my chest attacking my lungs and lymph nodes.
I am currently receiving treatment for metastatic cancer which has, and continues to be a huge challenge - physically, emotionally and mentally but with the love and support of my loved ones and close friends I know I will pull through and beat this terrible disease.
Cancer is the biggest challenge some of us will face in our lifetimes. Together we can beat cancer.
Thank you and stay healthy.
