My name is Daryl, I am a 23 year old hair stylist at Alter ego Hair design In Colchester. Last year we went along to Essex and Herts air ambulance event, 'Strictly air ambulance' to style contestants hair for the charity fundraiser. It is one of the many great events that contributes to keeping such an important service going for the communities around Essex. Its quick response saves lives, and where it cannot it can give families time with loved ones that can really bring some form of peace of mind. 

When a personal family friend went into cardio arrest, the air ambulance arrived quickly and took her to hospital, where her children were able to spend time with her while on life support machines before she sadly passed away. I cannot imagine losing my mother, and it certainly wouldn't make it any easier, but final moments matter and if not for quick response by paramedics would they have had that time? 

I am dedicating my free time to train and learn the samba and quickstep, two dances I have never done before, to take part and fundraise for such an amazing charity. The event is on the 24th march 2018 at Charter Hall, Colchester. I ask you to think about the possibilities of this service, how it could help you or a loved one one day and donate any amount you can so this emergency service can continue for many, many more years.
