I'm absolutely delighted to have been selected as one of 40 employees from 25 countries from across GSK's business, who together will raise £184,000 (or more) for Save the Children, and which will be matched by GSK.

In March 2019, we will spend a life changing seven days trekking up the 4,550m peak of Ras Dashen in the stunning Simien Mountains, and then visiting a local community to understand more about Save the Children's work in Ethiopia.

But the challenge begins now. I need to put the red wine away and start the training immediately. More importantly, I need to start fundraising.

Together, with some friends, colleagues and family members, I hope to start the fundraising by taking part in the North Coast cycle (Sept 8th), The GSK cycle (Sept 22nd), The Dublin 10k Night Run (Sept 25th) and the Galway Bay 10k (Oct 6th)..... let me know if you'd like to take part!

With the help of friends in work, I also hope to run a few fun filled fundraisers across Oct, Nov and Dec - Watch this space for update.
