We help blind children and young people to live their lives without limits

Story

I started running in March 2018 to lose a little bit of weight in order to keep up with my 20 month old son Rhys. I soon started to achieve my goals and set new goals of which I met again and again.

I never thought I was capable of some of the challenges and runs I have completed, and it was this thought that made me realise that I could inspire Rhys and hopefully others. He could look at me (in the future) and think 'my dad did that'!

What could be more inspiring?

When completing my first 10K race in London, I met a huge amount of fellow runners who were running in order of multiple charities. It suddenly occurred to me that I too could give something back and combine this with my running.

As such I researched the 'Royal Society for Blind Children' who do such an amazing job supporting uk based blind children and their families. I look at Rhys everyday and am so grateful he is in good health, something we take for granted everyday. I personally cannot fathom the struggle and anguish families and children must endure - its simply tear-jerking.

I recently ran the London Parks Half Marathon for this charity and am so proud of their achievements and the work they do, I have decided to run my first ever marathon for them.

Any kind of support you can give is hugely appreciated.
