Story

Well I never got chance to update this before I hit the target anyway, but let's overlook that and read why I'm still here!

I'm Dave, and I'm a dolphin.

I was happily swimming along in the Irish Sea with my mates when I got distracted by a ball that was bobbing along on the surface, and before you know it I was halfway down the River Dee heading towards Chester.

In hindsight, it wasn't the best idea, and I was in a bit of a muddle trying to find my way back out, so instead for a few days I took in the sights and sounds up and down that stretch of river.

Then a few people realised I was in need of a extra flipper to reach the sea again.

At first, I didn't really want to go, I had a load of things I'd wanted to see, but the crew from Flint RNLI said no, and bundled me into their lifeboat and transported me James Bond style back to deeper waters.

In my time on the water, I found a disused laptop so began a Twitter account which a fair few people followed.

The RNLI then said I could be let go for one hundred squid ransom. Brilliant! Before a second tweet corrected it and said one hundred QUID! Boo.

After getting rescued though, and finding out how much it cost for me to be saved, the number of people who are helped each day around the UK by the RNLI (on average - 22 people EVERY DAY), and how they are almost entirely funded by YOUR donations; I needed to help them out.

So as a dolphin, and being clever and all that, I used my telepathic mind to hook up with that disused laptop, create this JustGiving page, and help push to that target!

Which you all helpfully did! But the RNLI always need your support, so please give as much as you can!
