Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats solo and unsupported, starting on 8th August 2017 and aim to complete on 19th August 2017.

I will be covering approx. 1200 miles in 12 days by pedal power.

The route I will be taking is the more scenic, but longer route, avoiding main roads and using canal towpaths and cycle routes where available.

Completing this journey unassisted will be mentally and physically challenging. I will only have myself for company and will need to carry all my own equipment. I will be staying in B&Bs and hotels along the way paid for by myself (as will the huge food bill to keep me going!).

Followers of my journey will be able to see my progress on a blog page (details to follow) where I will endeavour to keep you updated on my daily progress and post some snaps along the way.

I have chosen to support FibroDuck Foundation as Fibromyalgia is a condition that affects thousands of people in the UK, including a close family member. I have seen first hand how this disease can affect individuals and how much care is needed to support them. Not enough research and understanding of this disease is available in the UK and I hope you can help support FibroDuck Foundation who help deliver these services.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
