Story
As most of you know, my husband Henry Watson passed away, aged just 32 on Sunday 7th March 2021.
Henry developed jaundice in early 2021 which after investigation, transpired he had a rare form of bile duct cancer that had spread to the liver, causing a secondary cancer.
After numerous biopsies, procedures and the insertion of an 8cm metal stent to try and move the bile through his body we found out in mid-February that because the jaundice was unable to be rectified, Henry could not receive any treatment as this could cause further damage and speed up and spread it quicker so it was then classed as terminal.
Henry put up the most courageous, dignified and inspirational fight to this cancer and we literally said, he was not dying of cancer, he was living with it.
I truly believe he saved his entire strength for us to marry on the 2nd March and have our legal ceremony just 15 hours before he passed away.
I know Henry wouldn't want any others going through what we have gone through and so it seems only fitting that we ask for donations to Cancer Research UK as part of the celebration of his life taking place on 30th March. The speed of which this cancer took hold was incredibly scary and I, as his husband will do whatever I can to raise money for this charity throughout my lifetime. He is incredibly missed by me and the rest of the family, his friends and work colleagues.
Please donate whatever you can so we can find a cure for all cancers to limit this heartbreak on other families.
