Story

On June 4th I'm taking the plunge literally. Swimming 750m 20k biking and 5K running. Individually none of these present a fine specimen like myself much of a problem. Taken together then its a whole different "ball game". If I succeed it will a triumph of determination over lactic acid.

As this is my first ever tri-athalon my only real sporting goal is to finish without swallowing too many weeds, grazing my knees or getting lost in the lush forests of Blenheim Palace.

Financially I've set what I hope is a very modest target which you feel you can contribute towards. Every penny you can spare would be brilliant and help in the fight to treat this nasty form of cancers.

Each of the last few years I've tried to take on some kind of semi un-sensible challenge to make it a case of "rather you than me". First there were a couple of marathons, then running up flights of stairs in tall buildings, then not shaving and now the hop skip and jump for lycra and neoprene lovers.

As you can see from the pictures above I was born to be a tri-athlete from the day I first climbed aboard my favourite tricycle!!

The deeper you dig the harder I promise to train and achieve my personal best (fishing before night fall)
