Story
On 10th of November 2007 Joanne died of an undiagnosed heart problem, Joanne was fit, healthy and active young mother of three young daughters. There is a possibility that Joanne may have survived if a defibrillator had been available in her local area. SADS UK raise awareness of the heart problem that Joanne had and a number of heart defects that take the lives of many young fit and otherwise health people. We are taking part in the ride because we believe the work that SADS UK carries out does save lives. We are hoping to raise enough to donate defibrillators to Crown Medical centre, schools and other and sports clubs.
The chances of survival from a cardiac arrest go up from 7.8% to almost 70%, if a defibrillator is available within the first four minutes. Its a no brainer, defibrillators save lives. Help us do that.
