The Eve Appeal is a charity that I knew nothing about until two years ago when my wife Faith was unexpectedly diagnosed with womb cancer. I was numbed with shock. We did our best to get through the tests, scans and appointments, hoping that every piece of information would be good rather than more bad news. On the morning of Faith's surgery, she was asked if she would consent to swabs, samples and medical details being included in a piece of research - which turned out to be funded by The Eve Appeal.
